MINNIE IRWIN TAKEN BY DEATH

Minnie Ross Irwin, 86, a former Weiser resident and now of Dorena, Ore., died Monday, Aug. 27, at Cottage Grove, Ore.

Mrs. Irwin was born Sep. 12, 1886 at Eskridge, Kan., the daughter of Francis X. and Louisa Hensel Kraus. At the age of four she moved with her parents to Weiser. She was married to Ben F. Ross in 1905. He died in 1955.

She was married to William H. Irwin in 1956. He died in 1964. She moved from Weiser to Dorena, Ore., in 1967.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Stewart, Dorena; a sister, Mrs. Lena Smith, Wilder, a stepson, George Irwin, Bend, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith Stephens, Bend.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Grace Ross, in 1911 and a son, Ralph S. Ross, 1972, also a grandson, Carl Petty, in 1945.

Funeral services for Mrs. Irwin will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at Northam-Jones Chapel, the Rev. Don Hardenbrook officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family suggests that those who wish may contribute to her memory by donating to the Cottage Grove Hospital Heart Monitor Fund, c/o the Cottage Grove Hospital, Cottage Grove, Ore.
