Riley moved from the West Parish of So. Brimfield, Massachusetts to the "Holland Purchase" about 1809, having previously purchased land during 1804 in Twp 12, Range 6, near Attica. He was a farmer and lived on the same road as his brothers, William and the Rev. Dexter, just south of the village.
With his wife, Elvira, Riley fathered nine children, five of whom are linked as shown below. Of the remaining four, listed in order of birth, no information is known:

Tall, Grand Monument is Inappropriate to site where Riley & wife Elvira are buried. It belongs to Riley's brother William's site. Riley and Elvira were originally buried at the Eastman Cemetery.
