John R. Cupples Rites on Thursday

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Broadway Mortuary for John R. Cupples, 71, of Tulsa, Okla., who died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Ingram of Merriam, Kan.

The Rev. Avery A. Eastridge of the Dawson Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.

He was born March 6, 1885, in El Dorado, Kan., and resided in Wichita 29 years before leaving for Tulsa in 1944. His wife, Winifred, died in 1944. Cupples was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a retired self-employed electrician.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Hall, Pleasanton, Kan., and Mrs. Ingram; four sons, John N., and E.S., Tulsa, Dale H., 6148 Greenwood and Victor, U. S. Navy; one sister, Mrs. Tessa Fisher, Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers, A. J., Dallas, Tex., J. E., Harry, Oakland, Calif., Fred. Edmond, Kan., and 12 grandchildren.
