Blanche Hruby (nee Papacek), 81, a Fox Lake, IL resident for over 50 years formerly of Chicago, IL died Friday, January 5, 2001 in her home.
She was born on May 15, 1919 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Steve and Agnes (nee Rezac) Papacek.
Mrs. Hruby was a Past President of the fox Lake Garden Club, was a charter member of the Fox Lake Children's Club and was active in the towns' civic and school organizations.
She had been formerly employed with Sears in Fox Lake, the Fox Lake Post Office and Lakeland Publishers. She had enjoyed crafting, gardening and her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Edward C. Hruby of Fox Lake, IL; two sons, Donald E. (Christine) Hruby of DeKalb, IL and Dennis C. (Barbara) Hruby of Spring Grove, IL; two brothers, Steve (Barbara) Papacek, Jr. of New York and George Papacek of Spooner, WI; nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Friends of the family may call on Monday, January 9, 2001 from 3 to 8 PM at the K. K. HAMSHER FUNERAL HOME, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL (The Chapel on the Lake).
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 AM with the Rev. Wayne Christensen officiating. Burial will follow at the Fox Lake Cemetery.
