Wife of Salmon Snow

-----------
DIED

SNOW - In Spirit Lake township, August 10th, Mrs. Mary Luce Snow, aged 81 years, 4 months and 21 days.

The deceased was married to Salmon Snow March 31st, 1844, and to this union were given eight children, five of whom survive, located as follows: S. L. Snow, Mountain Top, Arkansas; Dr, R. L. Snow, of Chicago; Mrs. H. H. Shafferman, Grafton, West Virginia; Mrs. A. W. Hill, Sigler, Indian Territory, and Mrs. C. A. Yarns, of Spirit lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Snow came here twelve or fifteen years ago, and have deserved the friendship of all. Mrs. Snow was a woman of lovely character and disposition, who delighted in all the offices of the Christian charity. The tired hands are folded for eternal rest and tender hearts will no longer know earthly joy or sorrow but "in the Christian's home of glory" she will find a meet reward for a lovely life of faith and works.

"Life's race well run,
Life's work well done,
Life's victory won,
Now cometh rest."
