Luther became an employee of Gulf Oil Corporation in 1918 and worked here until he retired in 1949.
Luther and Annie celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Austin, Texas. They spent their last years in a Church of Christ retirement center at Gunter, Texas.
