Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Bennett Clanton were conducted Thursday afternoon in the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Robert Cuttino, officiating. Burial was in Westside Cemetery.
Mrs. Clanton died Tuesday in Grace White Nursing home. Her age was 86.
She was born in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Lenora Williams Bennett.
Surviving are four sons, Gilbert B. Clanton of Lancaster, Dr. B. Reid Clanton of Long View, Tex., William Ray Clanton of Los Angeles and Perry Clanton of Charlotte, NC., a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Price of Columbia, SC., a brother, William Bennett of Augusta, GA., and two sisters, Mrs. Ellison Hagins of Lancaster and Mrs. Carl McGinnis of Charlotte, NC.
