Susan Jane Stanley
Susan Jane Stanley, 96, of 608 Pike Street, Parkersburg, died Tuesday at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Stanley was a charter member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ and a life member of the Ohio Valley College Stepping Stones.
She was born at Tucker Creek, Wirt County, a daughter of the late Granville and Sarah Jane Tuell Lockhart.
She is survived by one son, Frank B. Stanley of Parkersburg; two daughters, Faye Franklin and Mrs. Harry F. (Reba) Dougherty, both of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Either Virden McElroy of Parkersburg, and Kathryn Norris Clark of Stowe, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Blaine Stanely in 1958; her second husband, William Van Allen Stanley in 1984; on infant daughter; six brothers and five sisters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Franklin Funeral Chapel, Parkersburg, with Evangelist Tim Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen South Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
