Richard C. Ball
Richard C. Ball, 60, of Rt. 4, Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Feb. 12 at Central Michigan Community Hospital after an illness of three weeks.
He was born on March 31, 1912 in Detroit and had resided here for more than 50 years. He was employed as a mechanic at Dow Chemical in Midland.
A scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Stinson Funeral Home and a Moose memorial service will follow.
Funeral services have been set for Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and a member of the Moose lodge. He was also a veteran of WW II.
Mr. Ball is survived by his wife, Louise; a daughter, Susan Ann at home and a son, John Davis of Mount Pleasant and three grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, and a brother; Marvel Mahoney, Detroit; Glenore Moss, Mount Pleasant; Edward Ball, California; Mrs. Steve (Ismerie) Glagoczi, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Carroll (Virgiline) Van Ommeren, Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Harley (Ruth) Teeter, Clare.

Richard was married two times, the first time to Catherine McElhaney and the second time to Louise.
By his first marriage with Catherine he had a daughter, Nancy Ruth Ball, who was still born on Dec 3, 1935. Little Nancy is buried at Calvary Cemetery.
By his second marriage with Louise, he had a daughter, Susan Ann.
A son, John Edward, was adopted by Mr. Davis.
