Samuel E. Baxter, 82, R. 6 (Whitehall Pike), died Friday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Delbert (Gertrude) Cazee, Smithville.

He was a member of Pentecostal Church and a retired employee of Showers Bros.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Margaret; two sons, Roy, R. 9, and Hershell, Bloomington; two daughters, Mrs. Preston (Belle) Scroggins, R. 3 (Nashville Rd.)
and Mrs. Delbert Cazee; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one brother, Norvell, R. 1 Ellettsville; and one sister, Mrs. Isis McGown, R. 1 Spencer.

Rev. William Bradley will conduct the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Greene and Harrell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Knightridge Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight.
