RUSHVILLE, Ind., April 8. -- Frank Offutt, 78, prominent farmer and large landowner of Posey township, died at his home at the east edge of Arlington on Road 52, Wednesday night. He had been in failing health for several months and seriously ill about ten days.
Mr. Offutt was a native of Posey township and he had spent practically his entire life in the community. He was born January 6, 1860, the son of John and Priscilla Gordon Offutt, the former a native of Kentucky and the latter of Rush county.
The deceased, in addition to his large farming interests, was active in affair of the Arlington bank and served as its president for a number of years.
