Lilah and her husband Thomas moved to Malden, Massachusetts, in 1941, where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the Maplewood Methodist Church in Malden, and also attended the Christ United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Rebecca?s Lodge as well. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening and was particularly skillful at reviving sick plants.
