Cecil died Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center from cancer.
He graduated with the class of 1942 from Colo High School. He then joined the Navy. When he returned from the war, he farmed in the Rhodes area for a number of years. He then worked for the Street Department in Nevada and then for the Iowa Department of Transportation. He retired in the mid 1980s. He enjoyed collecting model cars, cooking, fishing and was an avid sports fan.
