Former School Board Cabinet-maker Dies


John Henry Pennock, 83, of 140 Cleveland Ave., retired cabinetmaker who was an employe of the Wichita Board of Education for more than 20 years, died Monday morning in St. Francis Hospital.


Mr. Pennok was born March 31,1871 in Neosho County, Kan. He spent several years in Davenport, la., and moved to Wichita in 1920.


He was a member of the Cleveland Avenue Church of Christ.


Survivors include his widow, Minnie Myrtle; a son, Roy O. Pennock, Toronto, Canada; a sister, Mrs. C. D. Moore, Gooding, Ida.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be announced by Downing Mortuary. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.

Hill of Cleveland Avenue Church of Christ and W. R. Murray, Eplyco Church of Christ will officiate. Interment Wichita Park Cemetery. Parking adjacent to mortuary available for friends attending service.
