Sarah lost her birth mother when she was about 2 years old.
Her mother was Martha Ann (Nichols) Green. After Martha died Naomi Nichols became her new mother. Prior married Naomi and Naomi helped to raise her and her brother Lee, along with the other children that she and Sarah's father Prior Green had together. The grandchildren only knew Naomi as their grandmother. Naomi was a sister to Emma Jane Nichols who married George Nichols. They are buried here, also.
