Mrs. Mollie Cate, wife of J. C. Cate, was laid to rest in the Gibson Cemetery Monday afternoon beside a daughter, whose twin boys she was caring for, this fact making the death most sad in that the 4 year old boys have lost a second mother. Deceased was 56 years old, a native of Llano county, was reared at Wilberns Glen; was the mother of nine children four of whom survive her. Three were present at the funeral. Robert Howell of Burnet conducted the funeral, speaking words of encouragement to those left to mourn this mother's death, and telling of the life of this lifetime friend and sister in the Church of Christ. Those attending the funeral from distant places were: Roy Rutland of Dallas, Frank Cate and family of Cherokee, John Cate and family of Lometa, Mr. and Mrs. Mansfield Allen of Green Ranch, Wiley Johnson and daughter of Cherokee, and three brothers and a sister from Llano county.
