Albert J. Schabel, 73, of the Town of LeRoy, died Friday at Beaver Dam Hospitals, Hillside Unit.
He was born on Jan. 4, 19000, in the Town of LeRoy, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schabel.
On June 17, 1939, he married Lavina Bonack in the Town of LeRoy. Mr. Schabel was a retired farmer and member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and Holy Name Society at LeRoy.
Surviving are four sons, Gilbert of Oakfield, and Gordon, Raymond, Norbert, all of LeRoy; two daughters, Mrs. John Thurk of La Crosse; and Mrs. Jerome Okon of LeRoy; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph and Ben, both of LeRoy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy, with the Rev. Anthony Gundrum officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
