In 1941 he joined United States Army and was sent to the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged on December 20, 1945, and was awarded the Bronze Star, a Bronze Star Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and an American Campaign Medal.
He married Jeanne on Saint Patrick's Day, in 1950.
Charles is survived by his brother; and nephew Ken (Amy) Larsen of Cotati; six children; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Charles is predeceased by his father Charles Patrick Deenihan, mother Marie (Andersen) Larsen, stepfather Henry Larsen, and brother Henry Larsen.
