"OBITUARY"

SPENCERVILLE- Sarah Emmogene Amstutz, 100, died this morning, Oct. 20, 1999, at Miller's Merry Manor in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Amstutz was a homemaker and member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Spencerville, the spencer Belles Extension Homemakers Club. (80 years), and the Post Office Auxiliary.
She was born Oct., 7, 1899, in Milan Township, Allen County, Ind., to the late Elmer Joseph and Minnie (Lake) Doty.
She married Frank Elroy Amstutz on May 19, 1923, in Milan Township, and he died May 19, 1973.
Surviving her are a son-in-law, Robert Lichtsinn of Spencerville; two nephews, John E. Johnson of Spencerville and David Amstutz of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren, six great-grandchild and two great great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two daughtes, Betty Ruth Amstutz on Feb. 2, 1995, and Lois M. Lichtsinn on Aug. 14,1996; one brother, Harry Doty; and two sisters, Nellie Meyer and Ercel Doty.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Row and Pastor Richard Kraus officiating. Burial will take place in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Indiana Lions Eye Bank Inc., Department of Ophthalmology, Indiana University Medical Center, 110 W. Michigan St., Indianapolis IN. 46223; or De Kalb County Council on Aging, 1800 E. Seventh St., Auburn IN. 46706.
