Mrs. Agnes Lewis Baxter, 77, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge. Mrs. Baxter was born September10, 1931 in Forsyth County. She was the daughter of Aaron Lewis and Myrtle Sanders Lewis. The was the widow of the late Charles Alfred Baxter. She was retired from the textile industry.

Survivors include her children, Dianne and Billy Brooks of Phoenix City, AL; Patsy Sullivan, Marilyn Norris, Lisa and John Fisher, Angie McKinney and Joey Baxter, all of Jackson; Michael and Jamie Grant, and Chris Baxter, all of Griffin; 27 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Lewis Baxter will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gene Maddox officiating. The interment will follow in the Pepperton Cemetery.
