Mrs. Berry was a native of Asheville and a daughter of the late Henry McDuffie and Bessie Conley Forney Sr. She was a former employee of Memorial Mission Hospital and worked as a respiratory therapist.
Mrs. Berry was a member of Hopkins Chapel AME Zion Church and served as an usher. She was a member of the Good Neighborhood Club, served as assistant secretary of Senior Citizen District 9 and assistant treasurer of the Senior Helpers.
Survivors include her son, John Fuller and his wife, Rev. Dr. Rebecca Fuller; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at Hopkins Chapel AME Zion Church with Presiding Elder Herbert Grant and the Rev. Ronald Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
