Anna M. Dodd
Mrs. Anna M. Dodd, 83, Planters II, died Friday at St John Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Carmelite Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Dodd was born in Leavenworth Feb. 23, 1903, the daughter of Andrew and Martha Wiese Finneran.
Mrs. Dodd was a volunteer 4-H adult leader for several years in the Bell community and volunteered at the Caltholic Emergency Center. for the past 11 years she delivered the Leavenworth Times to the residents of Planters II. she was a member of St. Joseph Carmelite Church.
She was married to Theodore Dodd on Feb. 23, 1922, at the Old Cathedral Rectory. Mr. Dodd died in 1965. She also was preceded in death by one son and two daughters.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Dodd and Raymond Dodd, both of Leavenworth, Lloyd Dodd, McLouth, and Donald Dodd, Wilson; five daughters, Mrs. Florence Haling, Mrs. Jeanette Zielinski, Mrs. Margaret Long and Mrs. Alice Schneider, all of Leavenworth, and Mrs. Delores Urban, Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Louis Finneran Leavenworth; five sisters, Mrs. Frances Zimmerman, Mrs. Helen Pennington, Mrs. Myrtle Hilcher, Mrs. Mabel Miller and Mrs. Lucille Harth, all of Leavenworth; 39 grandchildren and 49 Great-grandchildren.
The parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Belden-Sexton-Sumter Chapels., where friends may call after 12:30 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials to St. Joseph church.
