James Finneran Dies at St. John

James A. Finneran, 63, 412 N. 11th, died Sunday afternoon at St. John Hospital. Mr. Finneran had been in poor health for the past few years.

He was born May 20, 1901 in Leavenworth county, a son of Andrew and Martha Finneran. Mr. Finneran was a farmer until his retirement last April when he moved to the city. Until that time he had made his home on RR 4.. He was a life time resident of Leavenworth County and was never married. He was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Martha Finneran of the home; six sisters, Mrs. Theodore Dodd, RR 1 Easton; Mrs. George Zimmerman, 625 Dakota; Mrs. Everett Pennington, 2510 S. 4th; Mrs. Fred Hilscher, 938 Ottawa; Mrs. Otho Miller, 1103 Ottawa, and Mrs. Robert Harth, 709 2nd Ave.; two brothers, John L. Finneran, 2307 Dakota, and Louis Finneran, Granda Hills, Calif.

The daughters of Isabella will recite the Rosary on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sumter Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are pending. the body will be at the Chapel after 6 p.m. today.
