Ruth M. Allman, 80, of Astoria, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at Astoria.
She was born June 12, 1923, in Astoria to Curry H. "Curt" and Julia E. (Sears) McFetridge.
She married Jesse L. Allman in January of 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died July 19, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Henry "Butch" Allman; one brother, Gene McFetridge; and three sisters, Helen McFetridge, Charlotte Jessup and Eleanor Endres.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Judy) Law of Astoria and Leona LaForett of Thornton, Colo; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harry (wife Mary) McFetridge of Prairie City and Bernard (wife Joan) McFetridge of St. Augustine; and two sisters, Mrs. Norman "Pete" (wife Alice) Genseal of Beardstown and Mrs. Dennis (Vernice) Sloan of Phoenix, Ariz.
She did office work in Alton and later worked for the Astoria Fibre-Steel Company.
She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge in Beardstown.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Don Hightower will be officiating. Burial will be in the Astoria Cemetery.
