Harry R. McFetridge ate 90 of Prairie City, IL passed away on Sunday September 27, 2015 at his Daughters residence in East Moline, IL. He was born on May 21, 1925 in Astoria, IL to Curry H. and Julia Sears McFetridge. He married Mary E. Hopping on May 28, 1950 in Astoria, IL and she preceded him in death on April 8, 2011. Harry is survived by 3 Sons and 3 Daughters – Vernon (Ollie) McFetridge of Thailand, Carolyn (Tom) Williams of East Moline, IL, Roger (Becky) McFetridge of Loveland, CO, Debra (Alfred) Sloan and Nancy (Perry) Sinnett,and Jeff McFetridge all of Prairie City, IL, 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great grandchild and 1 Sister – Vernice Sloan of Phoenix, AZ. He was also preceded in death by his Parents, 2 Brothers, and 5 Sisters. Harry worked for Butler Manufacturing Co. in Galesburg, IL for 33 ½ years, was Prairie City Trustee for 12 years and Mayor of Prairie City for four years, and was the President of the Prairie City Caring Touch. He was a member of the Macomb American Legion and member of the Bushnell V.F.W. He was a Navy WWII veteran. He loved to talk to everyone and enjoyed yard sales and his friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday October 2, 2015 at the Bushnell Presbyterian Church with Rev. Elissa Bailey officiating. Elissa and her family were adopted into our family along with the Carley and Sharp family. They were loved just like Dad and Mom’s children. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M. on Thursday October 1, 2015 at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, where friends may call after 2:00 P.M. on Thursday.
