KINGMAN-Rachel Doherty, 76, died Jan 15, 1989, at Oakwood Villa Care Home, Hutchinson. Born Rachel Riffle June 7, 1912, at Lakin, she married George Dinger June 14, 1932 at Lakin. He died Nov. 24, 1948. She later married Harold T. Doherty Dec 6, 1949, at Zenda. He died Sept. 14, 1979. A retired cook and café owner, she was a resident of Kingman County most of her life.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Turon.
Survivors: son, Wilbur Dinger, Ancholage, Alaska; daughters, Dorothy Miner, Hutchinson, Georgia Green , Partidge, Darla Doherty, Techumseh, stepdaughter Beverly Baldwin, Jefferson Clity, Mo; brothers Jake Riffle, La Hunta Colo., Alex Riffel, Garden City; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, the Rev. Vernon Wilford. Burial will be in Cleveland Cemeteery, Cleveland, Kan. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may go the to Salvation Army.
