Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Methodist church at Brownstown. Burial in Griffith cemetery. Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown, in charge.
Midst the final rites, Rev. E. L. Lawler, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. He was assisted by Jack Busby, minister of the Christian church, Brownstown.
Mrs. Arnold had been a resident of Vandalia 21 years. She had been in failing health since March 12 and had shared a home with Mrs. Ray 3 months. Her parents were the late Josiah Bullington and Matida Devore Bullington. Born in Wilberton township June 19, 1872. She and Mr. Arnold were married Dec. 24, 1893 in Otego township. Lifelong resident of Fayette county. A daughter Leah, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. There also service 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She taught 21 1/2 years in the schools of Fayette county. Was a member of the First Methodist church, Vandalia; Noble Camp No. 1516 Royal Neighbors of America, Brownstown.
