Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Thelma Lou Bales Young, age 84, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Jim VanBibber. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery. Mrs. Young passed away on April 15, 2010.
Thelma Lou Bales Young was born on February 28, 1926 near Windom, Texas to parents A.D. Bales and Mary Moree Bales, she was the youngest of 8 children.
Thelma is survived by her husband, Horace V. Young of Bonham, Texas, sister, Nellie McCraw of Lubbock, Texas, son, Raymond Huston of Minnesota, as well as grandchildren, Jimmy, Jason, Joel and Amy Huston all of Minnesota, Julie Lynn Hall and Penny Lou Pearson both of Bonham, Texas, as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by both of her daughters, Mary (Cookie) Huston Mann and Georgia Lou Rumfelt.
