Funeral for Katie Abner, 96, Somerville 1, who died Tuesday in a Decatur hospital, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church. The Revs. E. Paul Berry and James Troglen officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Peck Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Florence Nelson, Somerville, Mrs. Maudie Reeves, Decatur, Mrs. Marie Stone, Michigan, Mrs. Clistie Bradley, Hartselle, Mrs. Sallie Segars, Moulton, Mrs. Vinie Barnett, Town Creek, and Mrs. Bertha Davis Besow, Orlando, Fla; four sons, Hobert Abner, Cullman, Arrie Abner, Falkville, Owen Abner, Florida, and Newt Abner, Michigan; 68 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Abner was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church.
