A resident of Lake Murray for a number of years, Betty was the widow of John Ramond Hufstetler. She was a licensed insurance agent, enjoyed the lake, nature and her cats. She was known as Betty and Mom, but her favorite name was Gran-ma-ma. In the last three years, after moving to Columbia from the lake, she especially enjoyed watching old movies with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Terry K. Hufstetler (Arleita) of Columbia, Rodney G. Hufstetler (Linda) of Columbus, GA; brother, Bill Cox of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Timothy Duke, Katherine, Holland and Adam Hufstetler, Shannon Smith, Scott and Mark Treadwell; a sister-in-law, Sandra Cox of Raleigh, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Mark E. Duke; brother, Wally Cox; a sister-in-law, Jincy Cox.
