JOHN H. ADAMS
John H. Adams, father of Mrs. S. H. Trivett of Bristol and himself a former resident of this city, died early yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. C. Reed, in Johnson City. He had been in declining health for two months and three weeks ago suffered a paralytic stroke.
Mr. Adams was well known in Bristol. He resided in Bluff City until the death of his wife, Mrs. Betty Harmon Adams, and since that time had made his home in Bristol and Johnson City. He was a member of the Bluff City Baptist church.
Surviving are eight children: Mrs. S. H. Trivett, Bristol; Fred and Arthur Adams and Mrs. H. C. Reed, all of Johnson City; Millard Adams of Thomas Bridge; and Carl, Edward and George Adams, all of Vineland, N. J.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday afternoon. A brief service will be held at the home of Mrs. H. C. Reed at 2 p.m., followed by services at the First Baptist church at Bluff City, of which Mr. Adams had been a deacon for years.
Pall bearers will be: Carl Harmon, Hurley Harmon, Bert Thomas, J. H. Wagner, J. A. Boling, Hobart Richards, J. G. Trivett, and W. D. Lyon.
Mr. Adams was born in Watauga county, N.C., October 5, 1867.

Funeral services for John H. Adams, former Bristolian who died early Saturday morning in Johnson City, will be conducted at 10 A.M. today from the First Baptist church of Bluff City.
The church service will be preceded by a brief service at the late residence. Interment will follow in the Mountain View cemetery in Bristol.
