Mrs. Platt, daughter of the late Grover A. and Eva S. Earls, was born in Des Moines, Iowa. She had lived in the Seward area since she was a year old.
Her husband, Bert, is a retired farmer. He survives. She is also survived by three sons, Ray G. of Los Angeles; Clifford G. of Minooka; Walter (Bud) Platt of Joliet; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Ferguson of Aurora and Mrs. Elvina (Sis) Wildey of Minooka; nine sisters, Mrs. Alice Willie of Michigan, Mrs. Elsie Roberts of Chicago, Mrs. Jean Davis of Plainfield, Mrs. Ada Murray of New York, Mrs. Gladys Rockenbach of Plainfield, Mrs. Eva Davis of Peotone, Mrs. Hattie Brossard of Chcago, Mrs. Edna Knupp of Wisconsin, and Mrs. Dorothy Hughart of Joliet, also a brother, Clarence H. Earls of Joliet.
She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Esther Platt of Joliet and Mrs. Mabel Heintzelman of Michigan.
Funeral services were held at the Sonntag, Burgess & Wylie Chapel Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. William A. Ostroot officiating. Increment was in the Chapman Cemetery.
