Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Viola Poland, 79, of Jonesboro were held June 25, 2006 at Edmonds Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Tyler and Bro. Onie Hay officiating.
Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery in Bienville.
Mrs. Poland passed away June 22, 2006. Born December 1, 1926 in Bienville, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Poland was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jiles and Lucy Thomas; her husband, A. D. Poland; and one son, Jackie Poland.
She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Poland Sellers and husband Charles of Jonesboro; one brother, Eugene Thomas; three grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Upshaw and husband Mike of Jonesboro, Clint Cannady and wife Joanie of North Hodge and Christopher Jay sellers of Jonesboro; four Great grandchildren, Shelbi, Hannah and Koleton Upshaw, and Breanna Nicole Cannady. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Robbie Reed, Bubba Moffett, Richie Maxwell, Bart Thomas, Michael Davis, and Travis Reed. Services were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
