Caroline Greer was born c. 1829/30 in Ohio, the daughter of Robert Greer. Caroline was married to William J. Maple in 1848. Caroline died in 1853 and her mortal remains were laid here in what was then called the LaMarsh Baptist Church Cemetery, now Maple Ridge Cemetery. William was then married to Lucy R. Breed and then 3rd to Martha Ellen Marlatt in Trivoli, Peoria County, Illinois. William and Martha eventually moved west to Beaver City, Oklahoma, where he died c. 1901.
