James C. Bivens, one of Moro's best farmers died at his home Tuesday night at the age of 74 years. Mr. Bivens was born in Madison County and lived on the farm where his death occurred since '61. He was a veteran of the Mexican and Civil wars. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Jones of Bunker Hill, at the church Thursday morning. He leaves to mourn his death, a son, Zeph E., two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Sneeringer, of Bunker Hill, and Miss Anna Bivens and a host of friends.
