Miss Anna Bivens, Moro, Dies at 92
Miss Ann M Bivens, 92, a native and life-long resident of the Moro area, died at 2 a.m. today in St Francis Hospital, Litchfield.
She was born Feb 4, 1857, at Moro, a daughter of the late James and Rebecca Wood Bivens, early settlers in the Moro area.
Miss Bivens was the last of her family. Her only survivors are five nieces, Mrs T C Milton and Miss Mae Sneeringer, Litchfield; Mrs Graff Taff, Granite City, Mrs Hal Budd, Gillespie, and Miss Myrtle Bivens, Moro and four nephews, Orville Sneeringer, Bunker Hill, Reid Bivens Godfrey, and William and Clarence Bivens, Moro.
Funeral rites will be conducted Thursday at 2 p..m. (CST) in the Moro church. Burial will be in Moro cemetery. The body is at Jacoby funeral home, Bunker Hill where friends may call until noon Thursday when it will be taken to the church.
