Obituary - Desma Stowell, age 85, passed away October 30, 1993 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.
She was born September 6, 1908 in Nephi, Utah to Joseph and Maude Vilate Hitesman Jones. She married William C. Stowell July 24, 1928 in Ely, Nevada. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died October 15, 1982. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Survived by children, Mrs. Ed (Betty) Seppi of Portola Valley, Calif.; Roger Stowell of Lynndyl; Steven Stowell of Sandy; Mrs. Russell (Marilyn) Shirts of St. George; Richard Stowell of Levan; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Desma Faye Larsen.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 1993 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 North 100 West. Friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to services at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi. Burial, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
