BOUNTIFUL - Art Bird, 70, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather died on Tuesday, March 21, 1995 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 24, 1924 in Mapleton, Utah to Vernon Ray and Myrtle Peterson Bird.

Married Jane Wainwright in Tampa, Florida on October 20, 1944. She preceded him in death on October 12, 1994.

His unwavering positive attitude was a great example to his devoted, loving family. His spirit, strength and zest for life inspired all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Ronnie (Wendell) Whittle; Susan (Ken) Barber; Kaye (Roger) Lott; and Tom (Shauna) Bird; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Family graveside services will be held Saturday, March 25, 1995 at 12 noon in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Inclement weather, services will be held at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
