Franklin P. Reynard, 78, a resident of Newark for 45 years, died this morning at 2:45 o'clock in his home, 189 Hunt Street, following a few weeks' illness.
He was born Oct. 4, 1852 in Edinburg VA, the son of Elanson and Nancy Reynard. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Reynard; five daughters, Mrs. L.C. Cooperider of Hebron, Mrs. Charles R. Jones of this city, Mrs. W.E. Keefer of Chautauqua Lake, NY, Mrs. Rolla Anderson of Alexandria, Mrs. Charlotte Ney of Ocean City NJ; four sons, Carl Reynard of the Reynard School of Rational Living, Leo of Utica, Layton and Presley of Ardmore PA, and 12 grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Bowman of Mt. Jackson VA, Mrs. Emma Larue of Newark, Mrs. Molly Downey of Edinburg VA; two brothers, Al of Utica and C.M. Reynard of Newark also survive.
The deceased was a member of the Pine Street C.U. Church.
The body was removed to the Householder Company funeral home, and Saturday night will be taken to the home of Mrs. Charles Jones, 112 West Church Street.

Funeral services for Franklin P. Reynard, 78, who died at this home in Newark yesterday morning will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Jones, 111 West Church Street, Newark.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill cemetery. Mr. Reynard was a former resident of Utica, having lived here a number of years in the same house where his son, Leo Reynard, now lives. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Reynard: five daughters, four sons, 12 grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers, one of whom is Al Reynard of Utica.
