The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Four Square Gospel Church, with the Rev. Blackburn Huff officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Stamper Memorial Home and an hour before the service at the church.
Mrs. Alvis was born April 20, 1903, in Bloomington, a daughter of John, and Delia Brock Moise. She was married to James Alvis in Bloomington. He died in July, 1968.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Stringfield, 1014 N. Park, and Mrs. Jane Sutton, 511 W. Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Home, 1413 Kingsridge Drive, Normal; Mrs. Ella Wheeler, Converse, Ind., and Mrs. Mary Woodford, Ellsworth; two brothers, Frank Mfoise, 508 E. Mulberry, and Herbert Moise, Penis, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church.
