Carl Cameron
Services for Carl T. Cameron, 76, of Burr, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m., at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church at Unadilla with the Rev. Thomas Huxtable officiating.
Cameron died Nov. 6, 1988, at Community Memorial Hospital at Syracuse. He was born Nov. 19, 1911, at Burr, the son of Allen and Emily (Adams) Cameron. He and Genevieve Louise Pittman were married Dec. 7, 1933, at Lincoln. Cameron, a retired farmer, had lived in the Burr community all of his life. He was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church at Unadilla and served as Clerk of Session for 45 years. He was a member of Farmers CO-OP Elevator Co. at Burr, various bowling leagues and a member of the Burr Baseball team. He had received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award,
Survivors include his wife, Genevieve, Burr; a son, Gale and wife, Patricia Cameron of Omaha; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary L.) Powers, Palmyra; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, Oliver and Herbert Cameron and three sisters, Marian Buchanan, Carrie Rogers and Ruth Cameron.
Pallbearers are Robert Cameron, Merle Rodgers, Allen Cameron, David Stedman, Michael Weiss and John Stilwell.
Honorary pallbearers are Ray Wendeln, Terry Sailor, Harold Kramer, Ervin Holman, Dale Eden, Paul Sugden Wilbur Edgar.
Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery at Unadilla.
Tonsing-Fusselman-Perry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
