Mr Arthur E. West & Family
Were Second Class Passangers on board The White Star Liner R.M.S. TITANIC on its Maiden Voyage of April 10th to 15th 1912,
The West Family on board at this time were
Mr.Arthur West his Wife Ada West and two Daughters Miss Barbara & Miss Constance
They were awakend by a Steward around 12:30 and told to put on their life Jackets and to report to the Life Boat deck
Doing So Arthur Managed to get his loved ones off in Life Boat No.10 There was a very Tearfull farewell as Ada West Realised that the Ship was Sinking and it was Very Likely she was saying Good Bye For Ever. There was one last Kiss Good bye and a quick wave to his Daughters as Second Officer Charles Lightoller ordered Boat No.10 Lowered at Approx. 01:20 AM with 55 People on Board, The Girls Remembered Daddy still waving good Bye from the Ships Rail as their boat was being rowed safely away and That is the last they ever saw of him in this world. Less than an hour later at 02:20 RMS TITANIC Plunged to the Bottom taking their Father away from them forever, His Body was one of those that were never recoved and so now he rests with all the others who died with the Titanic on that Cold April Night in 1912.
The Attached Photo is Courtesy of the West Family of Glascow Scotland Who were Kind Enough to let me copy in for Find A grave, In Remerance of there Brave Great Grandfather The Photo was taken around 1900 and Shows Arthur E. West His Wife Ada and eldest Daughter Constance (Barbara was born later)
Note Since Find a Grave Needs a Country of Death and has no Category for those "Lost at Sea" So I put the Country as England as the Titanic was an English Ship,
