She married Henry Grady Brady Jr on May 26, 1942 in Sacramento CA. Henry became a full Colonel ion the USAF and had a distinguished military career. They were divorced in the mid 1950's and had three children.
She married Charles Edward Poteet at Waynesville in the First United Methodist Church on May 29, 1959 and they had two children.
Betty died of a stroke 7 days after the death of her husband Charles Poteet.
