MARKLEVILLE - Margaret L. Lohnes,88, died Aug. 25, 2006 at Miller's Merry Manor,
Middletown, following an extended illness.
She was born May 18, 1918, in Providence, R.I., and had been a resident of Markleville since 1999.
Margaret retired from General Electric in 1984, after 42 years of service.
She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Providence, R.I., and of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Raymore of Markleville; nephew and special caregiver, Pete and Bar Raymore of Markleville; nieces and nephews, Kathy Raymore, John Raymore Ed Ring and Phil Raymore; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kris Pence, Patrick Gabbard and Clint and wife Amy Raymore; great-great-niece, Missy Raymore; and great-great-nephew, Mickey Pence.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks you to the staff and nurses at Miller's Merry Manor for their care and support.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen (Driscoll) Lohnes,
and good friend, Dot Kordalewski.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2801 Lincoln St., Anderson, with the Rev. Edward Dhondt officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence, R.I. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home and Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
