Lester "Sonny" Dangerfield, 65, died June 30, 1994 in a Salt Lake hospital.

Born October 12, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lester Stanley and Lorena Fitches Warren Dangerfield. Married Iliene Ruth Hedghes. Later divorced. Married Carolyn Patience Proctor in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Sonny was a supervisor for the Utah State DOT from which he retired in 1981. An avid trapshooter, he was a member of the Amateur Trapshooter Association and the Utah State Trapshooting Association. He was holder of several state awards and championships.

Survivors: "mother", Lila Bennion, Vernal, Utah; wife, Carolyn, Midvale; children, Lorena Iliene Howard, Safford, Arizona; Michael (Duck) Dangerfield and wife, Albina, Salt Lake City; Allan S. Dangerfield (Candy), West Jordan; Nanette Dean (Brad), St. George, Utah; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Keith Proctor (Sandy), Sandy, Utah; Mike Proctor (Pam), Becky Reed (Dale), both Salt Lake City; two brothers, Gordon, Brent; four sisters, Gloria, Valerie, Myrna, Jennifer; also his best buddy, his dog, "Baby". Preceded in death by a son, Teddy; and parents.

Funeral services Tuesday, July 5, 1994, at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Tuesday one hour prior to services. Intement, Midvale City Cemetery.
