The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at West Lawn Funeral Home for Bruce Golden Pitcher of Eugene, who died July 28 of leukemia at age 76. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He was born April 7, 1932, in Cornish Cash, Utah, to Willie and Rose Pooley Pitcher. He married Joanne Lemmon Oct. 9, 1951, they later divorced. He and his second wife, Shirley Farnsworth, were married for 30 years and then divorced. He married Nellie Meader in Eugene on Aug. 1, 2005.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Korean War veteran, and a disabled veteran. He worked as a barber.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Leslie Maio of Murray, Utah, Lisa Jensen of Brigham City, Utah, and Jeanette Twelves of Francis, Utah; six sons, Jeff Pitcher of Layton, Utah, Mike Pitcher of West Valley, Utah, Todd Pitcher of West Jordan, Utah, Lance Pitcher of Vanceburg, Ky., Shawnn Pitcher of Brigham City and Ron Farnsworth of Careywood, Idaho; a brother, Bill of Benson, Utah; 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. Remembrances to Willamette Valley Cancer Center.
