In census records we have Emma, Emmaziah, etc. On the headstone we have Amaziah and on original marriage record: Emazias J. In the Thomas H. Smith family bible, he is listed as Emmaziah Jaimah. He married Rose Etta Elliot, daughter of James Jackson Elliott and Matilda Freeman of Forsyth Co Ga and they had the following children: Martha, Barney Eber,Hampton C, William Bennett, and Mollie. They lived for many years in High Tower, Forsyth County Ga. Later when Rosetta died he lived with his parents and children.Uncle Ema's sister Sarah Coloma Smith married Rose Etta's brother Barney Elliott.
