Henry was a farmer in Franklin Co VA and a veteran of the War of 1812. At the time of the 1860 Census of Franklin Co, a female servant, Elizabeth Bausman, was living with the family. Most likely she was provided room and board in exchange for help with the many children.

Henry and his family are presumed by his descendants to be buried in the Board Family Cemetery in Franklin Co VA. Thank you to Jesse for help with this memorial.

Note: Henry's record for War of 1812 has been located and it shows his wife's maiden name as 'Majors'. Although a contradiction to another record that shows her name as 'Aldridge', the military record may be accurate as his wife should have been required to complete certain documents before receiving her Widow's Pension. Almost certainly, she provided her maiden name.
