The funeral for James Edward Dellinger will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock by the Rev. Robert C. Painter.
Burial will follow in the Massanutten Cemetery, in Woodstock. Masonic rites were held Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dellinger, 75, of Chantilly and Melbourne, Fla., died Friday night at the Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.
He was born January 15, 1901 near Columbia Furnace and was a son of the late James F. and Bertie Emswiller Dellinger.
Mr. Dellinger worked for the Hanger Orthopedic Co. in Washington D.C. for 31 years and attended the Washington College of Law and several vocational schools.
He was admitted to law practice in the District of Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals in 1930.
Mr. Dellinger was a member of the Ballston Baptist Church, a life of the Alexandria Moose Lodge 1076 and a member of the Baltimore Legion of the Moose and a number of Masonic lodges.
Surviving are his wife, the former Ocie I. Frye, a son, James E. Dellinger Jr., of Fairfax, a sister, Miss. Lena E. Dellinger, of Harrisonburg, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
