Enlisted Co. G 5th Mi. Cav., 18 Aug 1862 at Essex Twp. Clinton County, Mi. age 28. Mustered 28 Aug. 1862. Promoted to Corporal Oct. 1863. Taken prisoner at Trevillian Station, VA. 11 June 1864. Died in prison at Andersonville, GA.
